    Hard to believe how long ago that was, I remember it and I was a teen at the time, now I'm 50 !

    I remember the first launch. !! The company I worked for had done a piece of software for the count-down. As you people may remember, 20 minutes prior to launch there was a software glitch (oopss!). somebody had got the + and the - mixed up, so there was somewhere division by "0" which is not good (damn!).

    As we all watched the launch, and the count-down got halted, the entire space division was seen to get on the knees, praying the programmer's prayer (Please, let it not be in my sub-routines).

    Well, it wasn;t in the software we had developed, but it was a bit too close.

    Yes, brings back memories!

    I remember the 1st Shuttle landing. I hadn't realized that the u/c was lowered so late before touchdown,(for good reasons no doubt) so for a few seconds I'm thinking "Haven't they forgotten something?". :lol:
