I saw this about ten years ago, its a fake but a pretty good fake, really. Whoever did it was generally familiar with the layout and typestyles used in US Army Field and Technical Manuals of the World War II era, but they forgot one very important thing- the War Office, whose logo is on the cover, ceased to exist shortly after the close of WW II when it became the Department of Defense. While that logo would have appeared on all Army manuals during the war, it would NEVER have been seen on any manual published in the 1950's as this one claims to be. Still an interesting read just the same!
