The safety switches or warning lights

I have another question. I saw a photo of a F-4 Phantom flying with its wings still folded.

I recall also seeing a photo of an F-8U Crusader flying with its tips folded.

Did any WWII naval aircraft have safety switches or warning lights?

The F6F had a manual marker tab that dropped flush with the wing surface when the wing was in the locked position.
