Hello again. You guys have been very helpful in answering my queries in the past, and I'm hoping you can help me out again. As far as I can figure out, the P-47D throttle quadrant came in three different versions.
Before water injection:
Water injection on the throttle lever:
Automatic water injection:
(These are all taken from various P47 manuals.)
I'm building a specific D-22-RE aircraft from a D-20 kit, and I seem to be running into contradictory information about which production blocks used which throttle configurations - some of the manuals contain diagrams of more than one version, and the reference books I've checked seem not to match the manuals or each other. It would be an easy mod of the kit parts (which look like the first image above), to produce either the second or third verison, so I'm keen to try to get it right.
Can anyone shed definitive light on this, or is going to turn out to be "it varies" again?
Thanks in advance for your time and attention.
