Just read this on yahoo. His inflection in his voice always distracted me, the same with Cary Grant. I don't know of anyone who talks like that, but maybe that's what set them apart.

Just watched Operation Petticoat the other night. Hard to believe he's gone.

I liked "The Great Race," along with several other of his movies. Seemed like a nice guy and I can't remember ever hearing a bad word about him.

Thats it! She was some queen that Douglas got and Curtis worked to free her or something. Borgnine played Douglas' father.

Yeah Mike. Vivian was his first wife and they are the parents of Jamie Lee Curtis.

Just remembered - he and Kirk Douglas also teamed up for "Spartacus" by Stanley Kubrick. Great movie.
