Guys, just to let you all know, there is a modeller in the US called Tom Bukaty who has lovingly reproduced the P-47M as flown by Witold 'Lanny' Lanowski (my father) which will be flown on Wednesday 1st May in the competiton. This flying replica has a 105" wingspan which to me is HUGE...!!, you can see in the pic below the relative scale of Tom standing by the side of the model, she looks beautiful and I bet is a stunning view inflight.
I wish him and his pilot luck and hope he enjoys the day whatever the outcome.
