I think Germany and Italy have the best chance. They are playing the best football in Europe right now.

But now, the Icehockey World Championship in Canada starts in one week. So actually I´ve 4got football and can´t get icehockey out of my head. That´s my sport # 1.

I said Italy because of patriotism, but historically Italy always did well when was completely out of consideration and failed when among the favorites...
Hopefully they will reverse the trend...

I think the Germans will win it because they have the easiest road to the finals (and the fact I live with Germans (and a Dutchman) atm). If not the Germans you can not discount the French, the Italians or the Dutch, Portuguese or the Spanish. Should be an interesting tournament (and perhaps a close one - particularly the group of death).

I honestly do not think the Italians will get out of the group stage.

They are a great team, but overall they have never been very successful in International Tournaments (despite there 4 World Cup wins). They usually put up a great fight and go far in the tournaments however. This time though, they are in the group of death and I actually think that France and the Netherlands will take 1st and 2nd place in the group.
