Hi All
Been lurking for a while but not posted. I have acquired some old (wartime?) tailwheels, and aren't sure what they are.
I have an AHO 5031, with a 4.00 x 3-1/2 tyre, and was told it was an early Spitfire, but I think the Spitfire tailwheel is an AH2184 with a 4.00 x 3-1/2 tyre?
I also have an AH5000, with a 3.00 x 3-1/2 tyre - not sure what that is.
Also, a Palmer wheel with the only ident on it "933", next to the "Palmer" tag, and on the inside where the tyre goes "6.00 - 4", I assume that that is the tyre size. I was told that that was a Typhoon or a Tempest tailwheel, but I think that may be wrong also.
Any ideas on the origins of the above or what they were fitted to would be great.
Thanks
Dave
