Hello
I have some uniforms of a USAFE major or wich period. Can you tell what his name was and which parts of the uniform are missing?
and why from a German manufacturer

Post war privately made by a German taylor : notice several medal ribbons are post war dated, including an Army of Occupation medal ribbon.

The miniature C-54 Berlin Airlift Device clasp indicates 90 days consecutive service between 26 June 1948 and 30 September 1949.

which medals are shown here.
I don't know much about this matter.
The one with the Berlin is probably the one with the plane.

t may be that the uniform has become brighter from the sun (UV light).

Possible. But I found another similar uniform of U.S. WW2 Air Force Officers Major's Dress Uniform. All looks the same except the badges that aren't embroidered.

This one is post war too : prior to becoming US Air Force on september 18, 1947, and adopting the blue uniform, the US Army Air Forces were part of the Army and wore olive drab uniforms with relevant Air Force insignias and patches.

Yep but the uniform cut is the same. So it means that there is a lack of the pants to that.

Here ... not sure what is the sixth one but I'll dig up more. And a note ... the Air Medal ribbon is with the four Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster and the Europe-African-Middle Eastern Campaign one is with two bronze stars. The first one from the left seems to be of the silver or different variant.

Edit ... the sixth medal has been found by R Leonard.

I have had a trouble in finding of the sixth medal. The ribbon is very faded. Neither on the Army, USAF nor Navy list of medals it could be located. Finaly I found the N.S. Meyer Inc. from the New York list of the medal ribbons and on the page 3, two similar ones IMHO. However the NG ribbon looks quite strange among the WW2 medals.

The further searching led me to the US National Guard medals.
It appears that the ribbons could be :

The Arizona National Guard ...

The Nebraska National Guard ...

The South Dakota National Guard ...

The West Virginia National Guard ...

or ...

The Kansas Notional Guard ...

The Oregon National Guard ...

I would suggest a very, very faded WW2 victory ribbon. That would correctly mix with the precedence ahead of the occupation ribbon

I think you are right. The close view at the medal ribbon made me convinced. The layout of the colours ( strips) seems to fit the medal colours. And yes the ribbon looks very very faded comparing to the others.

Here are the promised photos. I also have a pair of beige pants. Hope it's better now
