Actually I have heard of two encounters between USAF military pilots and "something' personally from the guys who were there, and the details of two others second hand.

The pilots in those cases did not seem to be either crackpots or seeking attention. Neither does the USN pilot in this case. And there is radar verification.

I'm not sold on Aliens, however, I'm willing to listen to new and untested technology.

Imagine what the B-17 crews must have thought when the Me262 first thundered into their bomber stream and unleashed hell at the blink of an eye.

In this day and age, we take for granted that we carry super computers in our pockets, we have self driving cars, robots that can engage in conversation, and a working Plasma engine that could make a spaceship travel to mars in about 39 days...
