In my castle....
If I remember correctly, USS Yorktown had detachments F6F-3N's from VF(N)-76(B) and VF(N)-77(B) in '43 and '44. But in '45, when they used the F6F-5N's, there were no sign of a VF(N) squadron, but only VF-3, VF-9 and VF-88.
Did they have their own nightfighters attached to them?

Knowing and have seen Eduard's F6F-3N's and F6F-5N's in 1/48, what are these like?

Yes - in late 1944 and 1945 virtually all USN "fleet" carriers had a detachment of 6 F6F-5N night-fighters... and 6 TBM-3E radar-control aircraft (controlled the overall night air battle and directed the F6F-5Ns close to their targets, where the fighters could take the intercept themselves).

The exceptions were CV-6 Enterprise & CVL-22 Independence, which were dedicated night operations carriers. They carried ~30F/36T and ~15F/15T respectively.
