Interesting fact about the V 1 or "Doodle Bug" is that the pulse jet was supposed to run until it hit the ground, however with the fuel pick up at the back of the tank as soon as a V 1 dived the motor cut out and gave Londoners a couple of minutes warning to get into a shelter.
One night on a radio soap opera called "Mrs. Dale's Diary" mention was made that the motor cut out and they should go to the shelter.
The Germans heard this and moved the fuel pick up so the warning was lost.
