In my castle....

How racist. If you're white male living in England and you got a comedy show and planning to show The BBC then don't bother. The BBC has decided that the viewers whoever they are don't want it.
Maybe Some of Monty Python is dated but Life of Brian is as good as it gets.

As I noted in another conversation over this article, the author's comment "They're not that funny to start with" shows that this person not only has no clue about good comedy, he's also pandering for ratings and approval from the apologist fringe.

Monty Python's Flying Circus, Life of Brian, Now for something completely different, Holy Grail, and the Meaning of Life are all legend.

I am willing to bet this sad excuse for a journalist couldn't even name one "PC" comedy show that could come close (let alone be remembered 5 years later).

It is the reverse racism that started way back in the late 60s. My scores on the MCAT and B.S. degree from UofI made no difference to my admission to Med-school. I was too old, 25, and 10 -12 places HAD to be reserved for Non-white, disadvantaged applicants, their admissions scores played no role in their entry. Needless to say in Newspeak that was NOT racist and totally Politically Correct.
The movie being discussed Last Jedi on another thread bears this out perfectly. The strong leading characters are female and non-white and all the evil baddies are white males.
Yet all of this is perfectly and admirably Politically Correct...I'm way too old for this Brave New World

Yeah politics
Who is saying Monty Python not funny?
Who is saying they want ethnic comedy?
The general public?
They not asking me!

Oddly Terry Gilliam calls himself a black lesbian to get round the fact that the BBC racist policy against him.
Rasicm is social acceptable against white middle class. Oddly the BBC and its sjw comrades took it upon itself to focus on that Gilliam's comment was unacceptable rather than BBC's racist policy. Sigh.

...Garand go ping...
I have to chuckle at this.

Ages ago, I was watching a war movie (I don't recall the title) with my stepdad, and in the movie there was a fire fight between the hero and the bad guys, all of a sudden, the M1 Garand goes "ping" and the enemy perks up.

My stepdad literally jumps up and said "who the f**k could hear that?? Everyone's ears are ringing like the bells of St. Mary's!!"

Since a Garand can be reloaded very quickly even if you heard the ping it wouldn't matter. Just Hollywood garbage.
