I'm going to recreate this Steed from Conker: Live & Reloaded from scratch:

It's going to include a high-quality, high-detailed orange air data boom, a Dillon Aero M134D minigun with that custom M61 Vulcan flash suppressor and compensator that looks like it was inspired by the shroud of a Browning M1919, and a MiG-23 Rocket Launcher.

But one major question: what is in the cockpit of a VTOL type aircraft that makes it work? This includes it's instrument pannel, buttons, dials, gauges, levers, etc.

Side question, what do you think this fictional VTOL aircraft was inspired off of? And how can I make those main jet engines that do most of the hovering look as realistic as possible? Like, those jet engines look nothing like a Harrier's nozzles. A Harrier's nozzles are too small while this aircraft's jet engines are big as Hulk's fists.

The small engines shown could easily be jet turbines, the technology is out there and in use.

To find a good cockpit layout, perhaps look for VTOL Tilt-Jet cockpits.
The tilt-jet concept was very popular in the 1960's and there's alot of reference material (and photos) about that.
