Great movie indeed! Rockwell became one of my favourite actors after "Galaxy Quest" where he played just "Guy" (he had no name AFAIR).

Newly digitised coloured footage from 8mm home movie featuring former RNZAF Station Lauthala Bay, near Suva in Fiji. It was filmed by RNZAF member Barry Jones, and was provided to distribute by Barry's brother Owen Jones. It's a superb look around the station and showing the leisure activities of the personnel and their families. Plus there are brilliant scenes of the lovely huge Short Sunderland MR.5 flying boats of No. 5 Squadron at rest in the bay and in flight, including air-to-air during what is believe to be the last five-ship formation flight of Sunderlands done by the squadron, in 1961.

Great!

Did those Sunderlands got improved radars or used the WW2 ones?

Awesome, thanks for posting!
I got a tour inside the last remaining (complete) RNZAF Sunderland MR.5 in about 1986 or so at MoTaT. She had been sadly vandalised inside and all equipment removed or stolen, including the flight instruments, so can't comment on what radios etc she carried - will check my kiwi books to see if I can find anything out.
