That's not Eastern Front in the winter, but Le Bourget Airport, 1st August 1941: a Fw190-A0 engine overheating...

It looks like it was more of an engine fire then over heating. Interesting photo.

Captions in most books where this photo has been published, give details of the engine fire, cause, unit etc. With that amount of protein foam, it certainly wasn't just over heating !!

Nah, he's the founding member of what became 'The Fun 'n Frolics Foam Club'. It was exported to Sweden, where all sorts of nefarious goings on 'allegedly' took place, with scantily clad (if clad at all!) young fillies enjoying themselves until the wee hours.
