    Nikola Tesla was demonstrating this in th 1890's.

    I don't think he was using the national grid as the source though, this is largely the reason why the banks (aided and abetted by corporate whores like Edison) foreclosed on him, using the ether as the source provided no means of profit via public utility billing

    In Tesla's mind, wireless power was free power.

    Tesla was beyond genius! They still haven't figured out (as far as the general public knows) all of his experiments, because he kept all of his notes in his head. Right next to his pigeon-translator. But...yeah...it wouldn't surprise me to find out that someone cracked one of his experiments and created wireless power. Just think, cars that run forever on electricity. THAT alone should make the treehuggers happy and royally piss off the oil magnates.

    ...I have to side with the treehuggers on this one, oddly enough.
