Fantastic images. A real mix. James Francis 'Frank' Hurley was the photographer on Ernest Shackleton's Antarctic expedition and made his name from his magnificent pictures he took during the expedition:
Also mentioned of note is Australian Ross Smith in the pic that Hurley took of the Bristol Fighter. Smith and his brother Keith were the first to fly to Australia from England, in a Vickers Vimy Bomber in 1919, registered G-EAOU, which they nicknamed "God 'Elp All Of Us". The aircraft survives in Adelaide.
