Does anybody have any information/pictures regarding oxygen tanks use for fighter aircraft, primarily US & British, dating to world war 2?

US had several sizes for the different aircraft. I've got the spec at home from the Korean era that has most of the dimensions.

From what I can gather the main British tank was the Mk.V* at the start of the war and at some point 1942(ish?) they made the switch to the Mk.Vc. I only have figures for the Mk.Vc, but I think the earlier one was essentially the same except for no wire protection.

capacity: 750 litres
length: 14.6" (less valve)
width: 7.1" (after wire winding)
wall thickness: between 0.106 and 0.127 inches
working pressure: 1800 psi

Right cylinder capped by hemispherical ends.
Two layers of No.19 SWG piano wire (0.04" diameter) wound around the cylindrical portion under a tension of 30 lbs

The US had two primary tanks in fighters. Early aircraft tended to have the F-1 and later aircraft two or more D-2s
The attached pages cover all the tank documents I have and include dimensions, and the common UK tanks.
I can photograph my F-1 tank if you wish.

I note that the 7.92 AP made a bigger hole than the 50 cal ball.

I wonder what the 50cal AP would have done.

I also wonder what the .303 AP would have done given the 7.92 is only a smidgen bigger at .312.

UK used same standard size. US used two sausage ones (one a third bigger than the other but same dia) and two diff minion shaped ones

The UK also used their own designs which were wire wound.
