"What, you've only got a Porsche in your garage? I thought it would at least be a Mustang - that's the one with the Merlin up front, of course!"

That concept used to be fairly popular in the 50' and 60's. I can remember skyparks, sky ranches and "air communities" when I was a kid.

Most are gone now, of course yet, in this area, there is one gated community that still has an airstrip, homes and a golf course down by the Sacramento river. In a neighboring county, right next to Trinity Lake, is Trinity Center airport, where homes back right up to the field and have hanagers set up just like the Florida layout (garages on the other side). Trinity Center is only 15 minutes from here by air or 1 1/2 hours by car.
