WWII Radar Bomb Control Panel?

Hello everyone,

I just purchased this at an auction and I think it's a WWII era (assuming the number 1938 is a year) radar bombing control panel. Am I correct in my assumption? Does anyone know what kind of aircraft it's from and a possible value?

It says APS-64 on the back. The APS-64 was used in the B-52

Did the B-25 use APS-64? Is the 1938 on the back the year or just a random number? I thought 1938 was the year but the B-52 wasn't around at that time.

The '1938' is part of the equipment description.
The item is not WW2, and certainly not from 1938 - RDF and A.I,, later to become known as RADAR, was very much in its infancy in the late 1930s and early 1940s, with the first proper airborne use being in late 1940, with a very basic, and not very reliable 'detection' radar for night fighters.
The type of equipment your part comes from was no developed until after WW2.

I agree. IMHO the 1938 isn't the year but the random number. I don't think a such device could exist in 1938 and could be used for the B-25. What is more these two panel lights at the top of the front panel seem to look lthe same like those at indicator panel of the F-89 . So I would say that's the device from 50' or late rather.

This is a radar bombing control panel from a B-52B - 52C bomber. It was part of the Bomb/Nav system C-1938 (weapons systems control number) and transferred the Bomb-Nav Radar from preset pulse setting (5 were set on the ground by maintenance) to a fixed high pulse rate for target definition. This is the control unit set and the cabling would be be from the Bomb/Nav position into the radar equipment hosed in the radome area of the aircraft. The box basically is a switch unit and has no real high-value electronics parts or components that might interest someone.
