    This is the D4Y "Judy" dive bomber re-engined with a Mitsubishi Kinsei radial engine to overcome reliability problems with the Aichi Atsuta inline engine.

    I've always wondered why the Japanese used bright orange on some of their aircraft? Wouldn't it make it easier for the enemy to shoot them out of the sky???

    Very cool! I think the bright Orange was used on trainers/prototypes.
