Nice work!!
Surely the date you cited (October 1940) was a typo? (The first Hellcats went operational in February 1943.) The greatest design success of War2: easy to build, easy to fly, easy to maintain, easy to get back on the boat with, and easy to whup the bad guys with! She outflew and outshot the oppostion and saved cocky young pilots from their own mistakes: the Fokker D7 of her time. Nice choice, Starfighter!
