Went to "Jets 'n' Props" site , checked out fighters, then "Phantom of Fujian". Found additional information from a legend/article, Air Power possibly, about the P-40 that bombed Formosa (Taiwan) from occupied Philippines, then turned west to attempt to reach AVG 14AF. Good reading and added to the story from years ago.

Was MiTasol's link in post 6677 and of interest to WW2 historians. It could be moved, but I am not computer savvy to do it.
