I read a book about a pilot who suffered a stroke. I believe he might have been a fighter pilot but in any case, he also restored warbirds. If I remember correctly, he had a P51 Mustang. His daughter went out west and spent the better part of a couple of years working with her father to rehab him. He learned to speak again, and the FAA granted him a license upon his full recovery. I do remember that he had a website with a picture of him and a friend in front of the plane he was restoring. Again, if my memory is correct, a few years after resuming flying he went out for a flight and crashed in a narrow canyon.

Does anyone recognize this book?

Thanks for any help.
