Thanks Guys....yes sometimes I do think I am crazy!

Shots are after the second flat coat, dulled it right down...talc was added to the late war Japanese paints to get a real matt/ flat finish.

First 2 shots outside but was cloudy...second 2 under fluoro light...

i see youve used a light grey for the undersides what paint did you use ?
the instructions for my tamiya Ki 84 say to use XF-14 which is sky blue but all the profiles etc i've seen show a colour closer to what you've used !
do you think that its an old kit with slightly out of date instuctions ?
