GB-61 1/48 Vought AU-1 Corsair – Carrier and Maritime Aircraft

Finished up the engine last night and got the wing together. The right side fit fine, but the left side gave me a bit of trouble at the wing root and through the gull curve, and a lot of pressure had to be applied until the glue dried. Both sides will need some filler around the oil cooler intake, more on the left than the right.

The cockpit had been built and painted and the fuselage closed up. The kit came with a decal for the control panel, but I decided to paint it, drybrush it with light gray and coat the instrument faces with gloss varnish. The seat and control column will be added later.
The last picture is the test fitting of the wings and the cowl to the glued up fuselage.

Impressive dry brushing. Could have fooled me, looks like decals.
