An amazing aircraft that could land and takeoff in barely more than 200m, roll out a large cargo or vehicle and had good load carrying capability and efficiency.
The Luftwaffe never received many Ar 232 or Ju 52 and ended up having to make do with the Ju 52. The Ju 52 aircraft could carry the same cargo as a DC3/C47 but for only 55% the distance at 66% of the speed for almost the same fuel. The Luftwaffe thus needed more aircraft, more fuel, more crews to deliver the same ampunt of cargo. Some missions weren't even possible.
