Shown here is a Ca.314A or Ca.314SC (Scorta), a convoy escort/maritime patrol aircraft. This version had an armament of two 12.7 mm (0.50 in) Breda-Safat mgs in the wing roots and one 7.7 mm (0.303 in) Breda-Safat mg in a dorsal turret, plus a 500 kg (1,102 lb) bombload. Other variants included the Ca.314B or CA.314-RA (Ricognizione Aerosiluranti) torpedo- bomber with a 900 kg (1,894 lb) torpedo or a bombload of one 500 kg (1,102 lb) or two 250 kg (551 lb) bombs, and the Ca.314C which carried two additional 12.7 mm (0.50 in) Breda-Safat mgs beneath the wing roots.
