Charles Bronson, U.S. Army Air Force 1943-45 WW II. He enlisted and served as an aircraft gunner in the 760th Flexible Gunnery Training Squadron, and in 1945 as a Superfortress crewman with the 39th Bombardment Group based on Guam. He was assigned to a B-29 bomber. He flew on 25 missions & was awarded a Purple Heart for wounds received during his service
