Shown here are two SOC Seagulls and a OS2U of VCS-7 that have been beached at a UK airfield, June 1944. These aircraft are shown receiving routine maintenance by squadron personnel to keep them in readiness for further sea service. Note at this time VCS-1 were using Spitfires for naval gunnery spotting duties over the Normandy beaches.
