The Curtiss C-10 was an extensively modified version of the Curtiss Robin. The single aircraft purchased was used in an Army program testing radio controlled (unmanned) flight. The radio-controlled "drone" program continued though the 1930s and resulted in the development of several aerial and gun gunnery target practice aircraft.
