Shown here is another photograph taken over Brest on 7 December 1941 showed the work nearly completed, with the three vessels probably fastened together with steel girders. The superstructure of Gueydon was altered to resemble that of Prinz Eugen. It was a good imitation from a vertical view, but distant oblique photographs revealed the irregular hull. Ref: AIR 34/239
