Shown here is HMS Crosby (ex-DE-94) at anchbor off the white houses of St. Georges's, Bermuda. The main RN anchorage was off the old dockyard, on Ireland island, but the seaward harbour at St. George's was closer to the ocean exit from the reefs. Note the empty 40 mm Bofors tub, the weathered hull sides, and whaleboat alongside in the February 1944 view.
