Shown here is a series of pics of the sinking of the 'S' class (2nd Group) submarine HMS Shark in the North Sea on 6th July, 1940. Damaged by depth-charges from the German auxiliary minesweepers M1803, M1806 and M1807, she was forced to the surface but sank while the German ships were trying to capture her. Taken from Submarines of World War II.
