Shown here is a patrol of the 6th (Duke of Connaught's) Lancers (Watson's Horse) which was the divisional reconnaissance regiment of the 8th Indian Division, whose equipment included this India Pattern Mk.11 armoured carrier, based on a Canadian Ford CO11QRF chassis. They are observing the Trigno river where the regiment gained its first battle honour in Italy (IWM: NA 8532).
