Shown here is an H6K2 Navy Type 97 Flying Boat Model 11. Note the 800 kg (1,764 lb) torpedo attached to the bracing struts. Alternatively two 800 kg (1,764 lb) bombs or twelve 60 kg (132 lb) bombs could also be carried by the H6K2. Defensive armament consisted of one flexible 7.7 mm (0.303 in) Type 92 mg in an open bow position, one flexible 7.7 mm (0.303 in) Type 92 in a power-operated dorsal turret, and one hand-held 7.7 mm (0.303 in) Type 92 mg in a tail turret.
