Depicted here are Mosquito P.R.Mk.XVIs of No.684 Sqd, based at Alipore, north-east India, flying over the Hooghly River during the Monsoon of 1944. The squadron was engaged on long-range photo-reconnaissance missions over Burma, Thailand and Malaya.
