Shown here is a PzKpfw II Ausf b in action somewhere in the West in 1940. The Ausf b was the 2nd pre-production model of the PzKpfw II to be built and was fitted with 30 mm armour and weighed nearly eight tons. Note the early suspension with external girder which can be clearly seen in the photo.
