Shown here is a photo of a PzKpfw III and three PzKpfw IIs in a Russian village during the winter of 1941/42. Of interest is the PzKpfw II Ausf F (at right), that appears to have had its puny 2 cm (0.79 in) gun replaced with a more powerful French 3.7 cm (1.45 in) SA 38 gun. It also has a modified cupola.
