Shown here is the Greek naval harbour of Salamis whilst under German Occupation. The hulks of the battleships Kilkis (ex-USS Mississippi, BB-23) and Lemnos (ex-USS Idaho, BB-24) are still visible, and on the left the U-Boats' dry-dock. The U-Boats tended to moor alongside piers seen in the background to the right.
