Shown here is a general panorama of No.14 Base Servicing Flight at Ludford Magna. The nearest aircraft is Lancaster B.Mk.I (ME434) which went to No.15 Sqd. Directly behind her is a rare shot of what was initially designated Lancaster B.Mk.I (B.Mk.VII interim) by Austin Motors Ltd (50 built). Note that although the mid-upper turret has been repositioned these aircraft were fitted with the standard Frazer-Nash turret(as no Martin 250CE turrets had been delivered at this time), and therefore they were designated B.Mk.I in service.
