Shown here is an undated wartime photo of USS William T. Powell (DE-213) at speed in the Pacific area circa 1944-45. Note the room actually available for the Hedgehog aft of No.1 gun. Four single 40 mm Bofors have been fitted in new tubs, in place of the torpedo tubes, and a light tripod mainmast is fitted (USN).
