I am sure you are right - or as right as any historic research ever is. It is a life of surprises, and as time passes more and more is known - especially with de-classification.

For example the mock 'bomb' used in the Dambusters film is actually about 1.5-2 times too big ! The forthcoming Dambuster film will show the actual size courtesy of de-classified material from MoD archives now being released, just in time.

I'd like to clear up any misunderstanding regarding this aircraft: if you take a look at my last post ithis thread you'll possibly begin to understand that your previously posted Mk 21 is not in fact a Mk 21 but a Mk 19 fitted out as a " Mk 21" look-alike courtesy of a Shackleton engine transplant. Do please reply, I'd hate there to be under any misunderstanding over this...
