    should be both sides, upper and lower..No meatballs....Schemes were orderd changed shortly after Coral Sea. There were some variations in rondel size...On some A/C the painted over meatball and red and white rudder stripes could be vaugely made out under the blue paint. like these...

    wooden clothes pins come in handy and are cheap and disposable- take em apart and shape the contact points with a file to fit curves and contours during dry fit, reassemble the pin and fine tune to the perfect fit.
