Looking to see if anyone has scale drawings or good line drawings of this type of engine hoist, not sure if this was a 1 size fits all type of equipment, but photos of P-38 and A-20 engines in the Pacific look to be the same style as used on B-17s in UK.

Another somewhat related question, I cannot find any photos of P-40s with black painted wing walks, did Curtiss not use the wing walk paint? From what I understand the black paint had some kind of grit mixed in to provide a non slip walkway.

Actually that one is a wooden prop. About 20 to 25 years ago Martin Digmayer made hand carved wooden props in Czech Republic and sold them via mail order, I sent him US dollars cash and he sent me a box of hand carved props per my list of aircraft. I still have a few left and use them as I do...
Just finished the Eduard Albatros D.III oef 1/48 kit. Markings for Brumowski's D.III 153.52. Painted overall red with decals for the Brumowski distribution sworls from Pheon, and used the Eduard kit decals.
Nice! Can you post the actual size of each decal? It amazes me that on the P-38s in New Guinea early ones seem to have quite large flags, while the later ones on Bong and McGuires P-38H seemed to have very small flags, maybe the Army ones were hand painted? So the size varied?

Slowly but surely, have one side almost finished. Unfortunately since I'm using wing panels to do the side sworls I'm not having an easy time fitting everything. I cut templates from the transparent paper that came with the decals, this gives me the rough shape to cut the outlines, but where...
So far so good, Godwin Brumowski's aircraft was painted all red then for some reason he made some guy hand paint the ochre colored sworls over the entire aircraft including the bottom! I was able to get 3 sheets of the Pheon decals with the ochre sworls, hopefully that will be enough to cover...
Thanks! The judges liked it too, took it to the Granitecon show in New Hampshire last Sunday and won first in single engine prop 1/48 and Best 1/48 aircraft. Although that's all subjective as a 1/48 A-6 Intruder won best aircraft!
May work out well if you can polish out the forward fuselage back to the back of the cockpit. I would mask off the clear area and paint the rear of the fuselage since there is no detail behind the pilot's seat.
Glad you're feeling better! I'm thinking the resin sets you have might be a better fit for the Nichomo type I kit, although it came out in the 1970's it is supposed to be the most accurate kit out there.
Was at the American Heritage Museum yesterday to watch the Nieuport 28 fly. Unfortunately on landing the gear collapsed causing it to roll over. Wings broke off but luckily the pilot was OK.
