Hey Guys,
Just thought id give an update. So I'm back at it full tilt. I made the decision to go with Vallejo paints...i figured if i had to start from scratch I might as will stick with a brand with great selection, great pricing, and the least toxic. Ive been priming and black basing with...
You're correct...I was speaking from a strictly American prospective in regards to "holding the line". I would do well to remember that war was happening prior to US entry. Our war started...at least officially w/Pearl Harbor (Dec 41).
Hurricane was a great fighter...one of my favorites. As...
"While the P-51D wasn't a great climber compared to it's peer Spit, 109 or 190, it could however fly from bases in the UK to Berlin, fight for 20 minutes, and fly back (something even the vaulted P-39 couldn't do). What it didn't have in climb it more than made up for with aerodynamics / fuel...
The P-40 is in my honest opinion the most under rated fighter in the entire war...and there were lots of under rated fighter...F4F anyone? Considering it held the line before the war even started...its kill ratio is amazing...and it was flown against other nations at their peak by inexperienced...
Looking for some good magazine subscriptions. Im a history buff like most all here I'm sure and already get WWII and WWII history. Anything im missing on the aviation side that is A/ enjoyable and B/ decent reference material?

Guys...Im a professional fire fighter and can assure you that I've seen this sort of thing happen. Worse ive seen is a decretive lantern on a porch light siding on fire and burn a newer home down. There is a reason these things come with covers...and its not just for dust.
So i purchased the Talon and the Iwata. Figured try both and see which I liked better. I ended up keeping the Talon. I couldn't see a real difference in how they painted for me and I like the beefier construction of the Paasche.
THANK YOU for your advice. Im modeling on and working to...
Thanks and GREAT info to know! In your honest opinion as i progress in the hobby and get better will i ever come to a point the Talon is holding me back...or is it good enough that skill will always be the limiting factor.
Honestly my only hesitation on the Talon is the price...it seems too...
I sure appreciate all of the above advice. Im in between the Talon and the Eclipse. Both seem to have great reviews...are parts easier to get for one over the other? I know hobby lobby carries the Iwata but I dont have one within 45min so it really doesn't matter too much.
Hey Guys,
