Halverson flew the Question Mark with Quesada, Spaatz and Eaker. They all became Generals in WW2! Hal remained a Colonel, even though he was the first Commander of the 10th Air Force, created February 12, 1942. OK, command was transferred to General Brereton two weeks later. It also seems he may have been Doolittle's first commander.

Just came across the declassified report on the USAAFME. Tedder observes HALPRO had a good "psychological" effect in the area.
