I have a little riddle about the engines and the used sparkplugs. We found on a Ju-88 crashsite a sparkplug 9-4080-E2 that belongs to a Jumo 213A. so the aircraft should have been a G6 version. But we found also a Bosch DW250ET (10/ unreabable). if I google that it connects to a DB engine????
Hello, I just was on a sell site in Holland and the Hub is still for sale it does not look like a Halifax Hub and he tries to sell it so it did not go to Canada!
The aircraft remains were removed in the war and of course lots of small stuff remains, like the type plate found.
Except the rear gunner (dead) and the pilot (wounded) everybody got out and were made POW.
The strange thing is nowadays the crash location is half in and half out of a German...
Thank you for this info.
In the meantime I found out that at the crashplace a Sgt G.P. Kenny on 2-11-1944 was brought in at the military hospital at Ysselsteyn Holland and died. He was part of the crew of the HK633 from 195 sqn on a raid to Hopmberg. Nobody knew were the airplane came down. Now...
My buddy found it when we were together digging in the meantime I know it is a Me-109G-14. At almost the same spot 2 Me-109 crashed within an hour of each other.
Hopefully the prop can be retraced to the worknumber of the aircraft...... I have the worknumbers from both aircraft
another pic.
Anybody knows to which A/C this prop this belongs to?
Found it in Holland, it is for certain from a German A/C.
I wrote the numbers om the prop on the right hand site
Thanks
