Sorry Guys, the "infamous" comment kept sticking in my craw as we say down south...... SO I "Tweeted"
his ass and let him have it with all guns blazing (but not being vulgar). These liberals are going to rewrite history anyway BUT NOT ON MY WATCH!!!! And any feedback we give has to be strong...
This seems to have become a comparison of the two aircraft, so here's my "two cents"....... From my work here at NMNA we've taken apart and rebuilt many of both types. The aircraft are two completely different birds. The Corsair evolved from a high performance design for a pursuit aircraft or...
Sorry for the long delayed response to my own thread(stupidstupidstupid).........
To catch everyone up on things, we are prepairing a SBD Dauntless for shipment to Pearl Harbor for the Museum there. It's one we "fished" out of the lake..... Sorry for the lack of photos, maybe Santa will...
The B-29 pictured is from the 484th squad 505th group my Dad's group(circle W). He said 24 hour Ops. made them the busiest airport in the World..... I suppose by far!
I am volunteering in the restoration area of NMNA and guys it's a GOLD MINE if you are into the preservation/restoration of military aircraft! The regular Museum is truely a national treasure but if you ever visit be SURE to go on the "extended" tour of the restoration area. They will tour the...
If you are looking at Warbird Reproductions Claus Colling @ Flugwerk will build you a Fw190D with Allison power that looks FANTASTIC and just like the original for less than they are asking for the Grand Mustang...........

so belated but sincerely I THANK YOU...
If you'r comparing airplanes purely one to one the Zero wins. That's why I voted for it. In a dogfight it depends on pilot quality/experence and who saw who first.
FW190A...... I really don't see anything close except maybe the A6M2 in air to air combat characteristics.
Except the determining factor is ALWAYS pilot quality..........
Condolences to the family and friends........ I guess we'll never know but I have the questions of timshatz. No substitute for altitude, especially with the glide factor of a P-40 being similar to that of a piece of granite. I believe if I was fortunate enough to own a Warbird that valuable I'd...
